air conditioning services
It’s that time of year. You’ve put down the shovel and picked up your gardening tools. It’s finally getting warmer outside and pretty soon it may be too warm.  That means it’s time to start thinking about using your air conditioner. If you think that means simply flipping the on/off switch on a warm day, you may be shortening the life of your air conditioning system.  That’s because your air conditioner requires periodic maintenance in order to stay in optimal working condition. The beginning of spring is a great time to schedule your annual air conditioning maintenance with Tragar Home Services, and stay cool all summer.

Tragar Is Your Air Conditioning Expert

At Tragar, we’re experts on all things air conditioning. We can install an air conditioning system. We’re expert installers of central air conditioning systems and we can cool all of the rooms in your home. We carry several major brands and we’ll do the work inside and outside your home to make sure ducts are properly placed. We’re also the area’s premier installer of ductless air conditioning. These systems are perfect if you don’t have room for central air or if you only want to cool certain areas of your home. Tragar is also the place to go for air conditioning maintenance and we want to tell you why this is important.

What You Can Do Before Maintenance

Before your annual air conditioner startup takes place and even afterward, there is something you can do to ensure your air conditioning system is well maintained all year round. According to the U.S. Energy Department, one of the most important things you can do to increase the efficiency of your system is to consistently replace its air filters. Clogged dirty filters block normal airflow. It can also allow dirt to get into the evaporator coil and impair the coil’s ability to absorb heat. Replacing your filter can lower energy consumption by 5 to 15 percent.

What Tragar Checks for Your Maintenance

When Tragar comes to do your air conditioner maintenance we’ll check your evaporator coils. We’ll measure its air flow to make certain it’s running properly. We’ll also check the evaporator to make certain that enough refrigerant is entering the system. Our technicians will check your air conditioner’s belt tension and we’ll also inspect your compressor contractor to make certain refrigerant is moving from the evaporator to the condenser. Your condensate lines will be drained and make sure the drains aren’t clogged. Tragar will also make certain the drain lines are cleaned to avoid mold.
There are several checks we’ll also make on your system. We’ll measure your system’s operating pressure and make sure the pressure switch setting is working properly and your air conditioning is cycling properly. Finally, we’ll lubricate all of your moving parts for you.
If you want your air conditioning system to run smoothly and efficiently, you should make air conditioning maintenance from Tragar Home Services an annual event.  In addition to air conditioning, we’re also heating and plumbing experts. We’ll get you ready for a cool summer. Contact us today.
