Program Rules

Eligibility:

  • Participants must be current residents of Long Island (Nassau or Suffolk County).
  • Applicants must demonstrate a genuine need based on their personal story or circumstances. Individuals of all ages are eligible to be nominated.

 
Application Process:

  • Applicants must submit a completed application form, including a brief statement describing the situation and need.
  • Applications may be submitted by nominators on behalf of others.



Selection Criteria:

  • Recipients will be chosen based on the compelling nature of their story, demonstrated need, and potential impact of the kindness act.
  • Priority may be given to individuals facing extraordinary challenges such as illness, job loss, or natural disasters.



Privacy and Consent:

  • By applying, participants grant permission for their stories to be shared anonymously for promotional purposes.
  • Any use of names or identifying information will require explicit written consent from the participant.



Nature of Assistance:

  • The type and value of assistance provided will be at the sole discretion of the campaign organizers.
  • Assistance may include but is not limited to financial aid, goods, services, or experiences.



Limitations:

  • Individuals may receive assistance only once per calendar year.
  • Campaign organizers reserve the right to verify any information provided in the application.



Disqualification:

  • Any false or misleading information provided in the application will result in immediate disqualification.
  • Employees of the organizing entity and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.



Use of Funds/Goods:

  • Recipients agree to use any provided assistance for its intended purpose as described in their application.



Follow-up:

  • Recipients may be asked to provide a brief update on how the assistance impacted their situation.



Modifications:

  • The campaign organizers reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.


Liability:

  • The campaign organizers are not liable for any unforeseen circumstances that may affect the delivery or impact of the kindness act.



Legal Compliance:

  • This campaign adheres to all applicable local, state, and federal laws governing charitable activities.
  • No purchase necessary


By submitting an application, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
